Aria Kowloon Peak

At Aria Kowloon Peak in Kowloon, Artwill wrapped an open-plan home around a single board-formed concrete wall, letting raw texture and warm oak set a calm, contemporary tone.

The living and dining rooms read as one continuous space, anchored by a full-height feature wall finished in board-marked concrete. We kept the grey deliberately soft and mottled so it catches light rather than feeling heavy, then ran a line of recessed downlights along the ceiling cove to wash the surface and pull out its texture after dark. A slim white floating console sits beneath the wall-mounted television, its open and closed compartments keeping equipment tidy while the lacquered front bounces light back into the room. Pale oak flooring carries underfoot throughout, warmed further by a soft grey shag rug, a cream sofa dressed in charcoal cushions, and a round oak dining table circled by sculptural white moulded chairs under a single cone pendant.

Light is the quiet luxury here. Floor-to-ceiling glazing opens the lounge to greenery beyond, framed by full-length navy drapery that deepens the palette and softens the glass, while a crisp white ceiling and white walls keep everything bright and unforced. In the master bedroom we set a dark timber headboard panel against a clean white wall, lifted it with a recessed light line above, and grounded the bed on a low slatted-timber plinth that runs into a floating bedside shelf. Full-height windows draw the green hillside right up to the pillow, and a row of framed black-and-white prints keeps the mood restful and collected.

The study shows the kind of joinery Artwill likes to build: an L-shaped oak desk wrapping the corner, white cabinetry below for concealed storage, and floating shelves above mixing white and walnut boxes with an integrated strip light over a grey glass back panel. A keyboard tucks neatly into the window bay so the room works for both focus and play, with the view doing the rest. If you would like an interior design and build approach like this for your own home in Kowloon or anywhere across Hong Kong, we would love to hear from you.
