Monmouth Villa Club House
Monmouth Villa Club House is an interior design project completed by Artwill Interior Design House in 2006, located in Hong Kong Island, a unit handled by Regina Kwok and the design team across Interior Design & Build.
At Monmouth Villa Club House on Hong Kong Island, Artwill shaped a residents' lounge that feels less like a building amenity and more like the calm front room of a private home.
The interior design works almost entirely in warm naturals. A wide timber-clad portal frames the main seating area, which sits one generous step up on a honey-toned oak floor, while the lobby outside is laid in dark green veined marble that gives the threshold a quiet sense of arrival. The walls pair beige stone panelling with soft textured wallpaper, and recessed downlights wash the ceiling evenly so nothing feels harsh. Floor-to-ceiling sheer curtains run the length of the glazing, filtering daylight from the planted courtyard beyond into a gentle, even glow.
Furnishing keeps to the same restrained palette. Deep woven rattan sofas and tub chairs in dark espresso tones are dressed with cream linen seat cushions and crisp white scatter pillows, grouped around a low square coffee table on the same rattan base. Leafy potted greenery softens the corners, and a row of slim timber plinths displays small sculptural pieces under their own pools of light, lending the room a considered, gallery-like poise without ever feeling formal.
The connecting staircase is a quiet highlight: solid oak treads set within a frameless glass balustrade, each step grazed by concealed LED strips so the flight glows from within, climbing toward a richly textured feature wall lit from above. Throughout the Monmouth Villa Club House, Artwill's intention was a relaxed, light-filled retreat where residents can pause, read or gather. If you are planning an interior design project of your own, we would love to hear from you.
