Bloomsway

Bloomsway is an interior design project completed by Artwill Interior Design House in 2020, located in New Territories, a 1,467 sq. ft. unit handled by Regina Kwok and the design team across Interior design & Build.

A 1,467-square-foot apartment at Bloomsway in So Kwun Wat, in the New Territories, designed and built for a family of five who came home from abroad with a love of classic style and a few American pieces in tow.

The owner is fond of classic interiors, fond enough to ship a few American vintage pieces back to Hong Kong. With three children in the house, the interior design had to keep that taste yet stay liveable, so we worked in a modern classic register and simplified the ornate detailing until aesthetic and everyday needs met in the middle. The result is a home that feels refined and current at once.

The dining room was hemmed in by doors and a window, which makes placing a dining table genuinely awkward. We answered it with a wood feature wall and a picture sliding door that pull the whole zone into one calm, tidy surface, so the room reads spacious instead of busy. Marble, leather, and wood set the palette, with fine metal lines drawn through the living room for a quiet touch of luxury.

Curves do a lot of quiet work here: behind the sofa, across the TV backsplash, along the timber wall of the dining area. They keep the home soft and composed, and with young children around, they matter for safety as much as for looks. An earth-toned, neutral palette runs throughout for a settled, harmonious feel, and the fitted joinery was custom-made by our trusted partner factory.

We kept the owner's taste, but made it liveable for a house with three children.
