North Point Mid Levels

The flat had good bones but showed its age, and the ceiling sat low at eight feet, so the brief was to make it feel brighter and more current without fighting the architecture. We kept the palette to white, brown, and grey, then let different marbles do the heavy lifting, which is a soft, modern way to use a material that can easily read as heavy or dated.

To work with the low ceiling rather than against it, we ran slim rose-gold steel accents through the space. They catch and bounce what light there is, so the rooms feel taller and lighter than the numbers suggest. The kitchen counter and the low drawers in the living room are shaped with gentle curves and a little play in height, which keeps the long, level lines from feeling flat.

Almost all the cabinetry was custom-made for the flat by our trusted partner factory, fitted to the real walls and the real ceiling height rather than an ideal one. The result is residential interior design that feels quietly luxe: an older Mid-Levels home that reads calm, warm, and unmistakably updated.
